Mass Run during Sports Heats 1

Dear albas,

Here is a chance for all albas to contribute to Albatross' scores! During the 1st Sports Heats there will be a mass run held during 3 time slots: 3pm. 3.30pm and 4pm. All you have to do is turn up at CCK Stadium that day and run! We will be counting the number of rounds you complete within half and hour. Each round is worth 1 point!

This means if 100 albas turn up that day, and on average everyone completes 4 runs in 1/2 hr, we will get

100 X 4pts = 400 pts!!!!!

Of course the other houses will be doing the same! So don't hestitate! I'll be creating a list during our 1st house meeting for all albatross team members who are interested in helping the alba-team go beyond the limits!

Here's the information for Sports Day!

We will have 2 Heats:

Heats 1: 10 April (Tues) @ CCK Stadium:
1. NAPFA Challenge
- Chin up / Board Jump
- Mass Run (3 Mass Run races: 3.30pm / 4pm / 4.30pm) Each round = 1 point

Heats 2: 16 April (Mon) @ CCK Stadium
- 100m C & B Division Boys
- 100m C & B Division Girls
- 200m C & B Division Boys
- 200m C & B Division Girls

Kranji Family Day this Saturday, 24 March!

Dear Albas,

As you probably know, we will be having our Kranji Family Day and Road Run this Saturday, 24 March. Your Alba teachers, including myself will be running/walking/crawling (haha!) the 2.6km with you this year! This year, every participant from each house and their families can help the House win points! The idea is to get as many points as possible. Here is the scoring system:

1. When one student completes the run - 1pt
2. When one student (male) completes the run under 12min - 2pts
3. When one student (female) completes the run under 16min - 2pts
4. When family members complete the run - 5pts for each family member
5. When Teachers complete the run - 5pts for each family member

So please encourage your family members to come and join us in the run!! They can walk/stroll also of course!

There are also individual prizes for the top 10 finishers for
- Lower Secondary Girls (C Girls)
- Upper Secondary Girls (B Girls)
- Lower Secondary Boys (C Boys)
- Upper Secondary Boys (B Boys)

In the event of wet weather, you are all to assemble in the school hall according to your classes.

Remember to wear your house T-shirts or you will be mistaken as a representative for another house and you will confuse the people in charge of keeping scores!!!
Get your family members to wear purple too! (not compulsory)

We will be using this blog to disseminate information for the Kranji Family Day and Sports Day.

The list of events and Alba-atheletes will also be put up asap.
If you are interested in running for any of the events, please inform me either through the albatross email - KSS.alba@gmail.com or my extension no. 290.

We are also on the lookout for team captains and cheer leaders! So do contact me if you are interested by the end of March.
